Inter Milan becimes the team with the most loss in Serie A history

DBasia.news – Inter Milan confirms that they suffered a loss of 245.6 million euros in 2020-21. This amount is the highest in Serie A history.

Their losses have more than doubled compared to the 2019-20 season, which ended in negative 102.4 million euros.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and reduced ticket sales at the stadium, Inter’s revenue has also decreased from 373.3 million euros to just 364.7 million.

However, that is only half of the story, as over the last two financial years, Inter have lost over 900 million euros.

The Nerazzurri’s coffers will improve for the 2021-22 financial year with the sale of Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi, but Suning are continuing to seek new investors.

The 245 million euro loss was the highest in history for a Serie A club. Inter’s record surpassed Juventus’ 209.9 million loss in 2020-21.

Of the 10 seasons with the biggest losses in Serie A, six of them has happened at Inter. They also lost 206 million euros in 2006-07, 181.4 (2005-06), 154.4 million (2008-09), 148.3 million (2007-08) and 140.5 million (2014-15).
