Inter Milan Confident Can Retain Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez

DBasia.news – Inter Milan management revealed that two former Manchester United players namely Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez will most likely stay at Giuseppe Meazza next season.

The two players indeed had just joined Inter Milan, Alexis at the beginning of last season while Young followed on last winter transfer market. The news was said by Inter Milan’s Director of Sports, Piero Ausilio this weekend. Ausilio also ensured that Inter Milan had activated the contract extension clause for Young.

The British player was only contracted for six months only by Inter at the beginning of this year. However, Inter have a clause to extend the player’s contract for the next season. According to Ausilio, even though he only joined in January, Young is still considered good enough to play with Inter.

That is why Inter Milan’s management decided to keep the former Aston Villa player. Young’s ability to play in various positions is really needed by

Antonio Conte next season. Young who started his career as a winger and in the last few seasons playing as a full back is considered to be the right person to fill Conte’s squad.

“I can say that we will activate the option for Young. We intend to retain everyone, including Alexis Sanchez,” Ausilio said in an interview with Sky Sport Italia.

“He [Sanchez] played very well before suffering injury, I think in the games against Barcelona and Sampdoria. He reminded me of his best careers at Udinese and Arsenal. Then he was out of luck, but that could change his chances, this corona virus break, to show his true performance.”

That is because Conte is known as a coach who relies on the standard 3 defender. The formation was still relied on by Conte when training Inter this season. In contrast to Young, Inter are still unable to ensure the future of Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean player to this day is still under contract with Manchester United. Therefore Inter need to discuss first with United about Sanchez.
