DBasia.news – Inter Milan will reportedly filled an appeal regarding not being awarded a Walkover (WO) win against Bologna. The Nerazzurri found it odd when compared to similar cases.
Inter Milan’s match against Bologna on January 6, 2022 did not take place. In fact, the Nerazzurri squad is already in Renato Dall’Ara.
This happened because a number of Bologna players were suffering from Covid-19. In addition, the local health authorities also banned the match from being held.
Reflecting on the previous case, Inter Milan should have won the WO with a score of 3-0. The Juventus vs Napoli duel last season and Udinese against Salernitana this season which was not held for the same reason resulted in a WO winning decision for the team that came into the match.
However, this did not happen after sports judge, Gerardo Mastrandrea, decided differently. The judge decided the match would be rescheduled.
Sky Sports Italia understands the legal action that Inter Milan will take as there was a difference in decisions with the previous two matches, even though with similar cases.
For Inter Milan, postponed matches will make the schedule for the rest of the season even more congested. After the international break at the start of February alone, Inter will face 4 games in 11 days. The 4 opponents that await are AC Milan, AS Roma, Napoli and Liverpool.
