Inter Milan Refuses to Increase their Offer to Recruit Romelu Lukaku

DBasia.news –  Inter Milan are still trying to bring Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United. But according to the recognition of Giuseppe Marotta, CEO of Inter, the club will no longer increase their offer to recruit Lukaku.

Lukaku, 26, is a priority for Inter’s transfer this summer. Antonio Conte, Inter coach, has been eyeing him for a while since he was still training in Chelsea. Moreover, Inter still needed an attacker to accompany Lautaro Martinez.

The reason is that Inter and Conte have been assertive not to use Mauro Icardi’s service anymore. Lukaku also wants to leave and play in Serie A. Even so, Man United, who purchased him for 75 million pounds two years ago, did not want to sell him cheaply.

Inter reportedly offered £ 54 million. However, Man United refused and awaited a new proposal from Inter. Marotta began to surrender to Lukaku as Inter couldn’t propose more funds.

“We have made a good offer, one that is valid and in accordance with the value of the player’s transfer and we still cannot complete the transfer. The club is strong, but we must stick to certain parameters,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“The club has made a big investment and we believe we are at a good stage in this process. We are ready to take advantage of the opportunities, but the price of players today is really high.”

Inter will continue to monitor the situation of Lukaku, while looking for alternatives and reportedly eyeing PSG striker, Edinson Cavani. Inter is not the only one who is interested in Lukaku, as Juventus are also allegedly willing to exchange Paulo Dybala with Lukaku.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and everything can happen in the transfer market,” Marotta added.

Romelu Lukaku’s chance to head to Inter Milan: 40%

The percentage for Inter to bringing Lukaku is diminished due to the high price set by Man United. On the other hand, Juventus are also interested in recruiting the former Everton player.
