“As part of the investigative activities coordinated by the prosecutor. The financier of the Milan financial police economic-finance police unit conducted a documentary investigation at the spa offices of FC Internazionale Milano and Lega Nazionale, Serie A professionals,” said Deputy Prosecutor, Maurizio Romanelli.

“Ongoing activities aim to obtain documentation relating to the transfer by Inter of the registration rights of certain players for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 financial years in order to verify the regularity of accounting for the associated capital gains,” added Prosecutor Riccardo Targetti.

Inter also gave a statement regarding this and are open to cooperating to provide what is needed.

“FC Internazionale Milano confirms it has provided the necessary documentation regarding the release of certain players for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons,” an Inter statement read.

In the last few seasons Inter recruited top names who helped the Serie A champions last season, such as Romelu Lukaku, Christian Eriksen, Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez who were recruited in mid 2017-2019.
