Interested in Raphael Varane, Man United Must Be Ready to Compete against PSG

DBasia.news – Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane. However, the Red Devils must be ready to compete with a wealthy club, Paris Saint-Germain.

Raphael Varane’s future at Real Madrid is still in the dark. So far, the two sides have not agreed on a new contract. Reportedly, Varane wants to find a new challenge.

With only one year remaining on his contract, Real Madrid are also open to selling Varane in the summer. Madrid do not want to lose the French player for free next season.

In exchange, Madrid have got David Alaba. Although, Los Blancos are predicted to return to look for a new defender if Varane leaves because Sergio Ramos first decided to leave.

Marca reported, Madrid put a tag of 50 million euros for Varane. The money from the sale of Varane can be used again to invest in buying players like Kylian Mbappe.

According to reports, Manchester United are one of the clubs interested in Varane. Man United want to partner Varane with Harry Maguire in the heart of defence.

Manchester United are increasingly interested because Varane is in his golden age. The Red Devils believe, Varane and Maguire can be mainstays for the next few seasons.

Manchester United Not Alone

However, Manchester United does not stand alone. Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring Varane’s situation. Les Parisiens is not expected to have difficulty meeting Real Madrid’s demands.

Indeed, PSG already has two formidable central defenders, namely Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe. However, PSG coach, Mauricio Pochettino, believes Varane’s arrival will increase the chances of winning the Champions League title which has been only a dream.
