Italy Legend: Juventus Are Greater Than Madrid
By news-admin
DBasia.news – Juventus legend, Dino Zoff, believed his former club are greater than Real Madrid. However, it doesn’t mean that Juventus will win the Champions League easily.
Real Madrid were Europe’s strongest club in recent years. It could be proved by the Champions League achievements in three consecutive times.
One of the teams who have the ambition to get Madrid’s Champions League are Juventus. Moreover, La Vecchia Signora have the revenge after the loss against Los Blancos in the final round of 2016-2017.
And now, Juventus reshuffle the squad. One of the improvements is by recruiting the important striker of Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo. As expected, the presence of the Portugal national team player would give a positive impact in the front line.
Zoff who collected 476 caps with Juventus believed, Bianconeri are now stronger than Madrid. However, Juventus’ chance to win the Champions League is relatively small.
“I don’t think Juventus have less quality than Real Madrid. In fact, quite the opposite, as I believe they are stronger on paper than the Spaniards,” Zoff told SMC Sport.
“However, that doesn’t mean they will win the Champions League. There is more to it than that,” the 1982 World Cup explained.
Besides recruiting the player, Juventus also release some of their key players including Gonzalo Higuain to AC Milan. However, Zoff optimists Bianconeri will have a strong performance as well.
“It doesn’t matter who scores for Juve. I think Paulo Dybala can adapt and play like Isco to help feed Cristiano Ronaldo,” Zoff mentioned.
“Gonzalo Higuain has gone to Milan and he is completely different to Karim Benzema. He prefers a central role, whereas Benzema likes to roam all along the front line,” he said.
