DBasia.news – Former Liverpool player, Stan Collymore who is now an English football observer, suggests Chelsea to cast loose a few players in the 2019 summer transfer market. One of which being Eden Hazard.
Up until now, Chelsea is still fourth in position for the temporary Premiere League standings. But the squad under the care of Maurizio Sarri received pressure from Manchester United and Arsenal who are below them.
At the start of season, Chelsea was undefeated together with Manchester City and Liverpool. But The Blues has exactly collected five defeats until the 25th week.
Stan Collymore states that the main issue lies on the condition of Chelsea’s squad. The Blues were advised to sell a few players and replace them with new faces. Collymore believes Chelsea will be on the benefited side.
“Eden Hazard needs to leave Stamford Bridge. It can clear up Chelsea’s runny locker room,” says Collymore to Mirror.
“Theirs is no issue with the Belgian player, because he is one of the best in the world. But it’s time for Chelsea to cash him in,” explains Collymore.
“Losing a player like Hazard will present a massive hole. Even so, 150 million pounds is a profitable business for the 27-year old player. He has amazing talent, but I feel that he is part of the problem in the club.” Adds Collymore.
Besides that, Collymore also states that Chelsea needs to remove other players such as Pedro, Danny Drinkwater, Willian and David Luiz. Proceeds from their sales will then be used to gain new players.
“It will gather heaps amounts of money to bring in four high quality players which will make the club more competitive. They have brought Christian Pullsic and I am not surprised if there hunting other players,” says Collymore.
“Removing four or five players is the only option for Chelsea. Now they have to do it fast.”
