DBasia.news – Barcelona’s board of directors are rumored to be purchasing players in the transfer market following a humiliating defeat from Liverpool in the Champions. Not only purchasing, Barca will also release some of its players.
One of the players who is said to leave soon from Camp Nou is Ivan Rakitic, even since January 2019, Barca has also succeeded in bringing in a successor, the young Ajax midfielder, Frenkie de Jong.
This of course strengthens the news on Rakitic’s plan to leave, even the Croatian player is claimed to be soon joining Inter Milan. Blaugrana is also said to be receiving funds worth 50 million euros from the sales of the 31-year-old player.
Stifling and annoyed with all the circulationg speculations regarding his future, Ivan Rakitic finally opened up on the matter. He denied the news of leaving to Inter and satirized a number of media who reported on the matter through his personal Instagram account.
“Let’s see if you (the media) can stop making this far-fetched news. If you are able to, I will really appreciate it,” Rakitic wrote as reported by Mirror.
“Right now I’m only focusing on Barcelona. Staying here for the next few years and also helping the team to close the season with two different titles. A little note, my agent’s name is Arturo Canales,” added the former Sevilla player.
Ivan Rakitic is actually still a reliable and irreplaceable figure in the Barca midfield, even in the 2018/19 season he has also appeared in 51 matches in all competitions.
Despite failing to deliver his team to win the Champions League, Rakitic has managed to make Barcelona defend La Liga and still have the opportunity to present an additional trophy, the Copa del Rey when challenging Valencia, May 25th.
