DBasia.news – Manchester United defender Eric Bailly did a horrible tackle resulted in a red card on the 20th-week of Premier League against Bournemouth at Old Trafford, Sunday (30/12). His red card is a shame for Man United.
Bailly did the tackle in the second half to Ryan Fraser, using his two legs. The referee gave him a red card. Liverpool legend and football expert Jamie Carragher can’t help to think about his action.
“I mean what’s he thinking? They’re winning the game 4-1, it’s on the halfway line,” Carragher said in Mirror.
“When you go flying in like that, we now know when a player is out of control, endangering an opponent, you go to ground, every chance you’re going to be shown a red card.”

“Absolutely brainless that from Bailly, considering the time of the game, the score. It’s not today, the game’s won. It’s more going forward and the games he will miss,” Carragher said.
It means Bailly would miss the upcoming match against Newcastle United and might be replaced by Phil Jones. Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that Bailly has apologized of his tackle.
“Eric knows it was a harsh challenge. He doesn’t have to do that. Just stay on your feet, but once in a while you know the boys are excited, we want to win the ball back and sometimes you can mistime your challenges,” Solskjaer said.
