DBasia.news – The future of veteran Spanish midfielder, Javi Martinez with Bayern Munich is likely to end. The 32-year-old is reportedly only one step away from leaving the Allianz Arena and returning to Athletic Bilbao.
Marca claimed, currently Athletic Bilbao and Die Bavarian are in the final stages of transfer negotiations, which will make Javi Martinez return to La Liga after leaving Spain’s elite competition in the summer of 2012.
The well-known Spanish media believes that Martinez will be signed by Bilbao for two years or until the summer of 2022, with an option to extend for one year.
While in the negotiation process, Bilbao are said to want to complete the transfer of the player, before the 7th week of La Liga match against Sevilla at Estadio San Mames on November 1, 2020.
Based on existing reports, the transfer agreement is said to be at 10 million euros, or around 174 billion rupiah. Initially Bayern wanted a transfer value of 12 million euros, but Bilbao was unable to comply with their demands.
Instead of having to lose Martinez for free in the summer of 2021, plus the player’s strong desire to leave, Bayern Munich finally relented and was willing to accept Athletic Bilbao’s offer.
“We [Bayern] have made it clear, that we will not object to his departure. We will try to find a fair solution, “said CEO of Bayern Munich, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
