DBasia.news – KOTA BHARU: Kelantan regained victory after a 1-0 win over Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in the Malaysian Cup at the Sultan Muhammad Ke IV Stadium just recently.
JDT started with Ahmad Hazwan Bakri almost opening a goal in the 17th minute but kick in the penalty box captured by the goalkeeper Mohamad Faridzuean Kamaruddin.
Kelantan made several dangerous attempts from outside the penalty area in the 31st minute via Mohd Khairul Rizam Che Soh and Mohammad Imran Samso (m-32) but saved by goalkeeper Mohd Farizal Marlias.
JDT almost led the 44th minute by Fernando Marquez who headed the ball from outside the penalty box but was thrown out Faridzuean.

Kelantan’s only goal came in the 45th minute through Brazilian import player Cristiano Santos who finished the penalty shootout after Azrif Nasrulhaq acted on Mohd Danial Ashraf Abdullah in the penalty area.
Position 1-0 remains until the end of the first half of the game.
Continuing in the second half, Cristiano Santos nearly scored his second goal in the 63rd minute but saved by Farizal.
JDT struggled to close the gap by Ahmad Hazwan Bakri and substitute Darren Lok in the 67th minute and 89th minute but was ineffective.
In the final minutes of extra time the Kelantan game had to play with nine players after the referee sent a red card to substitute Mohd Hakimi Abdullah and Santos.
