DBasia.news – Former England national team and Chelsea midfielder, Joe Cole, decided to hang up his boots.
Cole, who started his career in West Ham United young academy before played for Chelsea, Liverpool, Lille, Aston Villa, and Coventry City, has supported the United States Soccer League club, Tampa Bay Rowdies since 2016.
“It has been a dream come true. All of it,” Cole said.
“Whatever is next, I hope the next two decades are as special as my last 20 years as a professional have been,” he uttered.
Cole had his debut with West Ham when he was still 17 and became the captain four years later.
He spent 7 seasons at Stamford Bridge and played in 280 matches of all competitions.
He also played in World Cup 2002, 2006, and 2010, and lastly played for England national team in South Africa World Cup.
