DBasia.news – Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson, praised Joe Gomez’s outstanding contribution. Henderson believes Gomez’s current performance is proof of his perseverance.
“Inside the locker room we have many opportunities to talk. We encourage each other every day to ensure the performance does not decline. We encourage ourselves to improve even further,” Henderson said.
Gomez did appear great to help produce six clean sheets in his last seven appearances with the Reds in all competitions.
“We all know Joe’s extraordinary talent, but at this level it is also about perseverance. It is interesting for all of us to see how he steps forward and plays with such confidence and control,” Henderson stated.
Henderson believes that Gomez is able to follow the quality standards set by the club.
“Recently an interesting individual to us is Joe Gomez. At the start of the season he was having a hard time. He had a setback to compete,” Henderson added.
“Joe is not someone who cares about individual praise and he will be the first to say in terms of contributions to the team, he has a lot to give.”
