Jorge Mendes Offered Leonardo Jardim to AC Milan

Leonardi Jardim

DBasia.news – AC Milan scored a bad record when they played draw four times in Serie A with no goal, the worst since 1984. It happened when Milan played against Torino (0-0), Bologna (0-0), Fiorentina (0-1), dan Frosinone (0-0).

Milan’s position is safe enough to compete for Europe zone qualification, both the Champions League or Europa League in the Serie A. However, the management would evaluate Gennaro Gattuso’s performance in these four matches.

Milan are now in the sixth position, three points behind Lazio in the fourth place and one point behind Sampdoria. The match against SPAL this weekend would define Gattuso’s status.

The Milan legend could have the similar status like the legend and former teammates, Clarence Seedorf and Filippo Inzaghi who got sacked by Milan. Some names are mentioned to replace Gattuso.

The former Milan player and former coach Italy national team and Napoli Roberto Donadoni could be the option to replace Gattuso besides Arsene Wenger, the former Arsenal manager who is ready to coach on January 2019.

However, besides these names, there is one other candidate that might be the solution for Milan and favored by the management for a long-term. He is Leonardo Jardim.

Calciomercato reported Jorge Mendes offered Jardim to Milan as the replacement of Gattuso. Jardim, 44, was sacked by AS Monaco after the failures.

However, the sacking happened due to the management’s fault who released too many prominent players to another club. The Portuguese coach created a miracle when bringing Monaco winning the 2016-2017 Ligue 1.

When he brought Monaco to be the winner, Jardim orbited some young players like Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko (currently in Milan), Thomas Lemar, and Benjamin Mendy.

Jardim is the right person for Milan to maximize the talents like Patrick Cutrone, Davide Calabria, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Diego Laxalt.
