Jose Mourinho Accepts One Year Prison Sentence For Tax Fraud

News circling Jose Mourinho is still hot news in Europe at the moment, fact that he is living his life and not coaching clubs, after leaving Manchester United last December.

Now the Portuguese is allegedly dragged for tax fraud, this case happened when he was still Real Madrid manager in 2010 to 2013. He was alleged avoiding his obligations to pay tax worth 3,3 million Euro on the 2011 and 2012 fiscal period.

As added information, Mourinho was accused of not playing his taxes from his copyright usage income while at El Real, and allocated the cash to the Virgin Islands, one of the country with a tax haven policy.

Reported from Sky Sports, Mourinho is rumoured to have confessed and accept charges, which is a one year prison sentence.

But the man who is also with Inter Milan will not face his sentence behind bars, reportedly the tax policy in Spain states that the side who has violated the law for the first time will get a two year sanction or less, no need to serve jail time.

About tax frauds, the lawbreaker only need to pay a fine with the previous tax to not be paid to the country.

Tax fraud among football players is nothing new to Spain, previously Barcelona megastar, Lionel Messi and Mourinho’s former Foster child in Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo has also been caught with the same issue.
