DBasia.news – The former Manchester United player Gary Neville is upset because his former club haven’t sack Jose Mourinho as the manager.
But, Neville understands why The Red Devils haven’t sacked him.
Jose Mourinho once again failed to bring Manchester United gaining the victory. This time, Romelu Lukaku and friends could do nothing against Liverpool after the 3-1 defeat in the 2018-2019 Premier League match at Anfield Stadium.
That was the fifth Premier League defeat of Manchester United this season. Now, The Red Devils are 19 points away from the leader, Liverpool.
Neville thinks the situation could be the reason for Manchester United to sack Mourinho. However, The Red Devils must think about the severance pay for The Special One.
“Yeah, I think it will happen. Whether it happens during the season (remains to be seen) – my preference is always to try to get through to the end of a season,” Gary Neville reviewed.
“I think, to be honest with you, the boardroom is so naïve. To give him an extended contract, knowing the cycle of Mourinho is three years,” he continued.
“There isn’t that experience or knowledge of the club above him to be able to manage, control and handle him. You don’t know what he’s going to say next and they don’t know what to do with him.”
Currently, Mourinho is in contract until June 2020.
