DBasia.news –  The new Arsenal fans expressed their disappointment at the club management through an open letter. Their protest was responded by Josh Kroenke, the son of Arsenal’s owner Stan Kroenke.

In a letter signed by 16 of Arsenal’s big fan bases, the content complained by questioning Kroenke’s commitment to leading Arsenal. One thing that was underlined was the drastic decline in Arsenal’s performance.

A year after Kroenke took over Arsenal (in 2007), Arsenal suffered a setback and in three consecutive seasons played in the Europa League. Their transfer maneuvers are also relatively sluggish, especially this summer with a spending limit of 40-50 million pounds.

Fans complained about this in the open letter. Kroenke responded and the answer was not something the fans heard.

“As much as we want to say sincerely, that we will compete to win top trophies tomorrow (next season), we know that is not the case and we are still fixing it,” Kroenke said at   Arsenal official website.

“It is a daily approach from the smallest things from the bottom up. We understand that there are a daily approach and the need for detail that leads to a comprehensive approach to club development, to restore it to its proper place.”

“For me, on a personal level, I am not sure how to express my passion. Anyone who knows me knows how much my passion is about Arsenal. Is this difficult to accept? Certainly. But I don’t work in this business to find friends, I try to win it.”

Regarding Arsenal’s transfer strategy, Kroenke insisted on affirming if Arsenal’s transfer was based on a purchase that suited the needs of Unai Emery, club manager. So far, they have only recruited one young Brazilian player, Gabriel Martinelli.

“It’s no secret that we have a Champions League salary bill for the Europa League finances at the moment. That’s the fact. And one that we are trying to find a solution in the club at the moment,” Kroenke added.

“That doesn’t mean my father or I have never said anything about any restrictions on buying players. We know where we should be and we know areas that need to be strengthened.”

“This does not mean who you buy, (but) how you buy. There are various statements to say how to skin a cat (lots of things to do,” explained Kroenke.
