Julian Alvarez Is Wanted by Europe’s Top Four Clubs

DBasia.news – South America never stops spawning talented young talents until regeneration continues. There also the scouts of European clubs gathered to look for new talent.

Currently one name is sticking to the surface. He is River Plate’s 21-year-old striker, Julian Alvarez. As quoted from Football-Italy, there are at least four top European teams who are chasing him.

Tottenham Hotspur and three teams from Italian Serie A, Juventus, AC Milan, and Fiorentina continue to monitor Julian Alvarez’s progress. Fabio Paratici, Tottenham’s sporting director, tried to bring him to North London to add strength to Antonio Conte’s team.

Julian Alvarez has a contract until December 31, 2022 and this makes him an ideal transfer for the summer of 2022 in Europe. Alvarez is rumored to have a buyout clause of 25 million euros, so with that contract situation, he can be signed at a cheaper price.

Experience at a Young Age, Praised by David Trezeguet

River Plate’s academy product was born on January 31, 2000 and promoted to the first team in January 2019. Alvarez can play in many positions from center forward to right or left wing forward.

At a very young age Alvarez already has four caps with the Argentine national team, even winning the 2021 Copa America with Lionel Messi et al. In addition to the Copa America, Alvarez also won the Copa Libertadores, Recopa Sudamericana, and Copa de Argentina.

Since making his debut in the first team, Alvarez has had statistics of 27 goals, 23 assists from 88 competitive matches with Milionarios – River Plate’s nickname. His club is currently still trying to give him a new contract.

Not having an advantage in aerial duels, Alvarez has advantages in speed, free kicks, and playing techniques to get through opponents. Praise came from former Juventus striker David Trezeguet regarding Alvarez.

“Alvarez is the prototype of the modern player that everyone wants,” David Trezeguet told Radio Supermitre.

“He gave his all, didn’t tire, stayed grounded and didn’t seek controversy. This kid is a gem that is hard to find in South America, he has all the technical qualities they love in Europe.”
