Jurgen Klopp Pessimistic, Liverpool Undefeated in the 2019-20 Season

DBasia.news –  Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, admitted he did not think to keep an undefeated record in the Premier League. Arsenal’s record during the Premier League season was never inscribed by Arsenal.

The legendary Arsene Wenger team has the status of The Invincibles when they won the 2003-04 Premier League. 15 years have passed, not a single team has been able to carve the same record.

Currently, Liverpool are on the right road to match the Gunners record. Liverpool are undefeated until Week 11 of the Premier League and have gone through big games without defeat against Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Latest, Liverpool won a dramatic 2-1 win against Aston Villa at Villa Park through goals from Andrew Robertson (87 ‘) and Sadio Mane (90 + 4’) who responded to Trezeguet (21 ‘). Post-match, Klopp responded to the issue on his team being able to match the record of The Invincibles Arsenal.

“It is (undefeted (not possible if you play like we did when conceding against Aston Villa. We did not perform poorly, quite the opposite. However, that is not the champion mentality that we need,” said Jurgen Klopp on Sky Sports.

“Undefeated all season is something that might be impossible. We also do not think about it. For us the most important thing is how to win the next match,” stated the German manager.

The next tough test will be faced by Liverpool in Week 12 of the Premier League against Manchester City at Anfield, Sunday (11/10) at 23.30.
