DBasia.news – Juventus coach, Andrea Pirlo has openly stated his interested in Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud. According to him, Giroud will suit the Bianconeri’s game.
Juventus has still not been consistent in Serie A. If usually Juve are always at the top of the standings, this season the conditions are different.
One of the sectors that appears weak is the front line. Juve are lacking in a center-forward. So far, Juve have relied too much on Alvaro Morata and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Inevitably, Pirlo had asked Juve’s management to bring in a new striker. One of the names that has been circulating is Olivier Giroud.
“The transfer market will open tomorrow. We have discussed with management what we want to do and whether there is a chance. We hope to do something in the next few days,” Pirlo said as reported by Football Italia.
Giroud’s contract with Chelsea will expire this season. The striker has yet to find an agreement with the Blues on a new contract.
This season, Giroud proved himself able to compete for a position on the front lines of Chelsea. He has scored nine goals in 15 matches.
With this unfinished appearance, Giroud has attracted Pirlo. Signalling a clear code.
“Olivier Giroud will be useful at Juventus,” said Pirlo.
In addition, Pirlo also emphasized that he still needed Paulo Dybala’s presence. The Argentine international attacker is rumored to be leaving Juve.
“We need Dybala and he needs us. In the last week, Dybala did very well in training,” stated Pirlo.
