Juventus captain admires Paolo Maldini
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Juventus captain, Giorgio Chiellini, claimed to support AC Milan as a child. That’s because Chiellini admired the former Rossoneri captain, Paolo Maldini.
Aside from Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini is the longest standing player defending Juventus. Chiellini has been in the I Bianconeri uniform since 15 years ago.
His loyalty to Juventus made Giorgio Chiellini hold the status of captain. Chiellini replaces Gianluigi Buffon when he moved to PSG in the 2018-2019 season.
However, Giorgio Chiellini was not a supporter of Juventus in his youth. Instead, Chiellini admires AC Milan, who is being led by Paolo Maldini.
Giorgio Chiellini is not ashamed to admit that. However, Chiellini said things changed when he joined Juventus.
“Unfortunately, I was a supporter of AC Milan when I was a child. However, I became smarter when I grew up. Paolo Maldini is my idol player,” said Giorgio Chiellini.
“I have a twin brother, he is a supporter of Juventus so I chose AC Milan. Can you imagine, how happy he was when Juventus brought me at the age of 20?”
“When I moved to Juventus, I immediately fell in love with this club. Now, in my opinion, there is no one who loves Juventus more than me,” he continued.
At the moment, Giorgio Chiellini is Juventus’s fifth-most performer of all time. Chiellini has played 507 times in the I Bianconeri uniform.
