Juventus Does Not Want To Return The Derby D’Italia Ticket

DBasia.news –  Six matches in Week 26 of Serie A this weekend will be held without spectators. One of the six matches is the Italian derby between Juventus against Inter Milan in Turin on Sunday (01/03) local time.

The other five Italian League parties are Udinese vs. Fiorentina, AC Milan vs. Genoa, Parma vs. SPAL, Sassuolo vs. Brescia, and Sampdoria vs. Hellas Verona.

“The decision has come out, all public events are banned until Sunday,” Olaraha Minister Vincenzo Spadafora was quoted as saying by Football Italia.

“Initially this decision was only in the Lombardi, Veneto, and Piedmont regions. But now it has been extended to Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, and Liguria,” he added.

This policy follows the spread of the Coronavirus in Italy which is the worst in Europe. Previously, Inter Milan’s match against Ludogorets in the Europa League was also decided without spectators.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport report, Juventus, who will host the match against Inter, decided not to return the spectator ticket money.

Juventus like 10 other clubs in Serie A do not return the money of spectators who have bought tickets if there are changes in match plans, including if held closed.

If the refund policy is enforced, it will affect the Old Lady’s finances. As an illustration, in the match against Inter last season, Juventus booked an income of up to 3 million euros.

Juve is leading the Serie A standings after beating SPAL 2-1. While Inter is six points away from the Old Lady in third place.
