Juventus eliminated from the Champions League

DBasia.news – Alessandro Del Piero, Juventus legend, is disappointed with his former team’s performance this season, especially in the Champions League.

The Bianconeri have certainly been knocked out of the Champions League after a 4-3 loss to Benfica on matchday five of Group H, and that leaves them in third place with 3 points.

Meanwhile, Benfica will accompany Paris Saint-Germain to advance to the next phase after both collecting 11 points.

Del Piero also commented on Juve’s performance, speaking to Sky Sport Italia, he mentioned about the match against Benfica: “Benfica dominated. The last 20 minutes gave us a little hope. However, I have to say this performance was terrible.”

“Juve were able to score a fourth goal to equalize 4-4. But, Benfica also have the opportunity to score a fifth.”

With Juve’s point achievement equalling to Maccabi Haifa, they are still in danger of failing to qualify for the Europa League. The reason is, they will face PSG in the last party, while Maccabi will host Benfica.

And if Juve loses, then Maccabi only achieves a draw or even wins, the Old Lady will bury their dream of winning a European trophy this season.
