Juventus Has No Decisive Decision about the European Super League

DBasia.news – Juventus is one of the 12 clubs pioneering the Champions League match competition called the European Super League. However, the Bianconeri have not been able to make a firm decision regarding their participation in this event.

The European Super League is scheduled to be rolled out starting next August. Participants automatically miss the Champions League due to conflicting schedules.

A total of 12 clubs pioneering the European Super League have issued official releases related to this competition. The contents are more or less the same except for the official statement from Juventus.

Juventus seems to still have doubts regarding the smooth running of this latest competition. The European Super League was strongly rejected by UEFA and FIFA.

Heavy sanctions are even ready to be given to the clubs involved. Players can also become victims if the European Super League insists on being held without UEFA’s permission.

Realizing that threat, Juventus made a slightly floating statement. The Old Lady is ready to continue participating in UEFA’s undergraduate competitions until the European Super League is legally recognized.

“Until the official launch of the European Super League, Juventus is willing to participate in European competitions (Champions League or Europa League). The founding clubs wish to carry out the Super League project as agreed with FIFA and UEFA, taking into account the interests of other stakeholders participating in the event of the football ecosystem,” read the official Juventus statement.

“The company cannot be sure that this project will eventually be launched successfully or estimate the right timing for the project.”

From this statement, Juventus seemed doubtful that the European Super League could be held as planned. This is proof that the 12 clubs pioneering the competition are not yet one vote.

In fact, Andrea Agnelli as the owner of Juventus is entrusted with the position of deputy chairman of the European Super League. The attitude of the Italian giants will certainly make the other eleven clubs wonder.

Juventus seemed to be playing on two legs while waiting for the response of their supporters and other developments. Reportedly this had to be done so that their value would not drop in the stock market.

Apart from Juventus, two other Italian clubs that will participate in the European Super League are AC Milan and Inter Milan. However, the two city teams showed a more assertive stance.
