DBasia.news – Juventus reportedly have not given up on efforts to tie Paulo Dybala to a new contract. Now, La Vecchia Signora are ready to launch the final attack.
Paulo Dybala has been a vital player at Juventus in recent years. However, the striker’s performances in the past two seasons have decline due to injuries.
The problem is, the Argentine player’s contract will expire next summer. That means, Dybala can leave on a free transfer.
Initially, Dybala and Juve were reported to have agreed on a new contract worth €8 million per season plus a bonus of €2 million. However, it was written between the two camps.
Calciomercato reports that Juventus are ready to meet Dybala’s representatives at the end of this month to return to discussing contracts. Juve hope, Dybala will be willing to stay longer.
Juventus are reportedly re-bidding wages of €8 million per season. Meanwhile, the €2 million bonus will probably be tweaked a bit with a tougher benchmark.
A stark difference will occur in terms of agent commissions. La Vecchia Signora hopes Dybala will pressure his agent, Jorge Antun, not to get a commission from this deal.
Juventus did not want to pay agent commissions which amounted to 4 to €5 million. Previously, CEO Maurizio Arrivabene said there were a number of players who sided with the agent more than the club. “Some players are more attached to the agent than the jersey,” he said.
Meanwhile, a number of clubs such as Inter Milan, Barcelona and Manchester City are ready to compete for Dybala if Juventus fail to renew his contract. These clubs offered a higher salary than what Juve is offering.
