DBasia.news – AC Milan has not been able to extend Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract. This has made the goalkeeper receive an attractive offer from a rival team, Juventus.
Milan continues to try to defend Donnarumma, whose contract runs out at the end of this season. But the Rossoneri’s efforts were deadlocked.
Donnarumma refused the new contract offered by Milan. The salary value is the main reason for the 22 year old goalkeeper’s decision.
Milan offers a contract with a salary of 6 million euros per season. This value is 2 million euros lower than Donnarumma’s request.
This condition is known to Juventus. The Bianconeri would most likely pay a higher salary than Donnarumma’s request.
Reporting from Corriere dello Sport, Juventus would pay Donnarumma 10 million euros per year. The Italian giants have also started negotiating with the player’s agent, Mino Raiola.
This is certainly not good news for Milan. Il Diavolo Rosso will definitely find it difficult to compete with Juventus’ offers.
In need of a goalkeeper
Juventus themselves were not just talking about obtaining Donnarumma. Andrea Pirlo’s team does need a new tough goalkeeper to guard their goal.
Wojciech Szczesny’s appearance was less convincing as the main goalkeeper. Meanwhile, Gianluigi Buffon cannot be relied on in every game because of his age.
