DBasia.news –  Juventus defender, Daniele Rugani, has tested positive for the corona virus, which is currently spreading in several countries. The information was immediately disclosed by the Bianconeri through an official statement.

Italy is one of the worst-hit countries in terms of the spread of the corona virus. In fact, the Serie A league body has decided to suspend competition until early April 2020.

The step was proven appropriate. As at this time a new case has been found from Serie A footballer, Daniele Rugani. The 25-year-old defender was tested positive for corona virus, but showed no symptoms.

Juventus took quick action by placing him in quarantine. In addition, La Vecchia Signora will also search for everyone who has had contact with Rugani.

“Footballer Daniele Rugani has been tested and was found positive for the corona virus. At present, he has no symptoms,” Juventus wrote in an official statement.

Daniele Rugani was on the bench when Juventus met Inter Milan, at the Allianz Stadium, Monday (09/03). However, there has been no news whether the defender had contracted the corona virus at that time.

“Juventus is currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law including detecting anyone who has had contact with Rugani,” continued Juventus.

Meanwhile, regarding the way to complete Serie A 2019/20, FIGC has offered several options that can be taken. One of them is to play-off to find champions and relegated teams.

The teams that will play-off to find champions are the top four clubs. Meanwhile, the bottom four clubs will go head to head to avoid relegation.

Daniele Rugani has played for Juventus since he was in the age group. This season, he has only appeared in seven matches.
