Juventus Sports Director is Optimistic Cristiano Ronaldo Will Not Leave

DBasia.news –  A contract that is still valid until 2022 will not make Cristiano Ronaldo leave Juventus soon. This statement was delivered directly by Fabio Paratici, sporting director of Juventus. He believes Ronaldo will continue to respect the contract that has been in force.

Ronaldo is still under contract at Juve until 2022 after moving from Real Madrid for € 112 million in the summer of 2018, but lately, there are rumors that the winner of five Ballon d’Or could leave from Turin.

The 34-year-old Portuguese superstar scored 21 goals in Serie A and a total of 28 goals in all competitions last season, while this 2019/20 season he has recorded four goals.

Asked about Ronaldo, who set a 700th competitive goal record when Portugal lost 2-1 to Ukraine in a Euro 2020 qualifier, Paratici dismissed the possibility for the player to leave Juventus before his contract expires.

“He is very focused on his target at the moment, I do not believe in the slightest that he will leave at the end of the season or afterward,” said Paratici.

“He is under contract: we are very happy with him and he is happy at Juventus.”

Juve, who are aiming for the ninth Scudetto in a row, will hope Ronaldo breaks more records and has recently been linked with Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic for the sake of adding to the quality of the squad.

However, Juve has no plans to make another major investment in January after the arrival of Matthijs de Ligt, Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot, Danilo and Merih Demiral at the start of this season.

“We will not move (transfer) in January,” Paratici said. “The squad is complete and is one of the best in Europe.”
