DBasia.news – Real Madrid achieved the 2-1 victory against Real Betis on the 19th-week of LaLiga, Monday (14/1). That’s the first victory of Los Blancos in LaLiga. The victory cost Karim Benzema’s injury.
The French striker got substituted before the break after he felt the pain in his hand. Benzema fell on his right hand in a wrong position.
Consequently, Benzema joined Gareth Bale, Mariano Diaz, Marcos Llorente, Marco Asensio, and Toni Kroos to the examination room. Coach Santiago Solari confirmed his injury.
“He has a fracture, we’re lucky it’s his hand. Benzema’s real power is in his feet,” Solari said in the club official website.
The injury is not a friendly term for Madrid this season. The series of injury forced Solari to use the three defenders tactic in the 3-4-2-1 scheme. He admits the tactic is applied due to many injured players.
“It was something that was imposed given the number of injuries the side is currently contending with. Sadly we have to add Benzema to that list with his fractured finger,” Solari added.
Benzema’s injury could force Madrid to find the new striker this January. Without him and Diaz, practically, Madrid have no central striker that could strengthen the front line.
