Bayern Munich has long been eyeing Manchester City wing striker, Leroy Sane since he was still playing with Schalke. This was stated by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, CEO of Bayern.
Bayern Munich are looking for wingers to replace Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. Both players left Die Bayern.
Several names are associated with Bayern Munich, including Leroy Sane. Incidentally, Sane has German citizenship, the home country of Die Roten.
Moreover, Leroy Sane is not a new name in the list of targeted Bayern Munich. Before moving to Manchester City, The Bavarians had wanted to recruit Sane.
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said he wanted to try to bring back Leroy Sane from Manchester City. Moreover, Sane has no guarantee of playing with The Citizens.
“Bayern Munich will try to bring in Leroy Sane. However, I cannot promise our efforts will be successful. We have watched Sane since at Schalke,” said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
“Bayern Munich have wanted to recruit Leroy Sane since he was at Schalke. However, at that time we could not guarantee a place in the first team for him.”
“That’s because Bayern Munich still has Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. Three years ago, Robben and Ribery were still at their peak,” he added.
Leroy Sane joined Manchester City in 2016 from Schalke. Unfortunately, the German national team attacker had difficulty competing for the first team at the Etihad Stadium.
