DBasia.news – Allan Preston, agent of Kieran Tierney, spoke of rumors of his client’s transfer to Arsenal. Preston assessed the move of the 22-year-old player could happen if Arsenal met the Celtic price demands, Tierney club.
The Gunners were supposed to have offered £ 15 million to Celtic. But, the Scottish club immediately rejected it as the price was very low. Celtic is reportedly asking for £ 25 million for Tierney.
“Everything (Tierney’s transfer) depends on Celtic – if they can accept an offer at the desired price for Kieran Tierney, then he could leave. There isn’t a single club that can afford the price,” said Preston, quoted from Mirror.
Furthermore, according to Preston, the Celtic academy product which was promoted to the first team in 2015 could leave for another club as long as there was a club that agreed to the official price tag. At present, interest came from Napoli and Arsenal.
“As many people say, he (Tierney) loves Celtic. Is there time for Kieran Tierney to leave? I think yes,” Preston added.
“Right now everything depends on the clubs involved – Arsenal, Napoli or any team – for them to offer money and make Celtic think. If there is a time when Kieran leaves then it depends on Celcit, Peter Lawwell (Celtic CEO), and directors , “he explained.
