DBasia.news – National Under-23 squad (B-23) manager Datuk Ong Kim Swee believes they should be prepared to face any potential problems when his men arrive in Bandung for the final preparation for the Jakarta-Palembang Games today.

Obviously, early alternative plans need to be considered if any changes occur involving training sessions as happened to the Vietnam team.

“We are expecting a good organization, we know that Indonesian host make a lot of changes in terms of preparation and I hope there will be no unwanted things in terms of training schedules, training grounds.

“Here we need a second plan, plan B or plan C if there is no field for us to train, we need to find another alternative,” he said when met by reporters before his team left for Jakarta.

Previously, the Vietnamese team incident training on tar road in a slum spreaded on social media. However, there were parties whom explained that it happened because the Vietnamese team management refused to practice at the allowed training ground.

Meanwhile, Kim Swee departed to Jakarta with 20 players today with a sudden decision to drop Danial Amier Norhisham due to injuries and reinstate defender Rodney Celvin Akwensivie who was dropped yesterday.

The former national coach, however, believes the absence of Danial will not affect his preparations as other players can fill the center.

“In the friendly match between China and UAE, Danial is not downplayed just Baddrol Bakhtiar, Nik Akif Shahiran Nik Mat and Syahmi Safari playing in the middle position. I have some more player options if I need to make changes later.

“Irfan Zakaria plays in the middle with Kuala Lumpur, (R) Kogileswaran can also play in that position so I do not see any problems,” said Kim Swee.

Malaysia will start Group E campaign against Kyrgyzstan at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung on Wednesday, and meet continuous champions South Korea (17 August) and Bahrain (August 20).
