DBasia.news – Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, confirmed that his team’s mainstay midfielder, Fabinho, will miss against Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Saturday (14/5).
Fabinho suffered a muscle injury in Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Wednesday.
The Brazilian midfielder was withdrawn since the 30th minute and replaced with Jordan Henderson.
“Fabinho is unavailable for this weekend,” Klopp told the club’s official website.
“There is a good chance that he can come back for the Champions League final.”
“We have to deal with it, because we can handle it. Having him or not is the difference, but all is well. It is common.”
“You never find it difficult when you have 12 replacement options,” he concluded.
Liverpool will go ehad to head with Real Madrid in the UCL final at the Stade de France, May 29.
The Reds are still in the hunt for a ‘quadruple’. Mo Salah and his team mates are three points adrift of leaders Manchester City in the English Premier League.
In the remaining two matches in the Premier League, Liverpool will travel to Southampton and host Wolves in the final match.
