Klopp Surprised To See Wijnaldum’s Performance

Georginio Wijnaldum

DBasia.news –  Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, praised Georginio Wijnaldum who performed beautifully against Bournemouth.

Liverpool won three points after a 3-0 win over their visitors, Bournemouth, in the Premier League match at Anfield. In that match, Wijnaldum contributed one goal for the Reds.

Wijnaldum listed his name on the scoreboard on 34 minutes. Starting from Andrew Robertson’s gastric pass, Wijnaldum cleverly kicked a prying kick from inside the penalty box.

The day before the match, Wijnaldum was ill and was predicted to miss Bournemouth. He had suffered from a digestive problem. However, Klopp still put him in the starting eleven and the former Newcastle player returned Klopp’s confidence with a beautiful goal.

“Wijnaldum is clear, he is very, very good today. That’s how our players play, they’re really brilliant, “said Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp also talked about criticism regarding James Milner and the condition of Trent Alexander-Arnold.

“I heard some people were very critical of Milner’s performance last week. After all the fantastic games he played, the criticism towards Milner was like a joke.”

“Trent has practiced twice after four weeks of absence and it’s good that we can play it. You can see immediately how fantastic he is. Today is a day where these kids are in a condition where they can really show that we can play football. So, I’m really happy for them, “said Jurgen Klopp.
