Klopp’s Compliment to Pulisic, Liverpool Want Him Even More

DBasia.news – Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp praised Christian Pulisic performance when The Reds was defeated 3-1 from Borussia Dortmund during the 2018 International Champions Cup, in Back of America Stadium.

Christian Pulisic became the champion inspiration of Dortmund after scoring two goals. While the other goal was presented by Jacob Bruun Larsen. Meanwhile, The Reds just scored a goal by Virgil Van Dijk action.

After the match, Jurgen Klopp didn’t deny Pulisic was the main thread for Liverpool defensive line. The manager believed the former student could be the US backbone to qualify for the World Cup.

“I didn’t see anything new, just that he’s a bit older and has new tattoos!” said Klopp reported by Soccerway.

“He’s a fantastic skilled boy, and it’s not a surprise to see. He’s a smart player, and unfortunately, the USA needs more of these players. He alone cannot do it all,” Klopp said.

“Don’t put too much pressure on the boy, hopefully, you can have a few more of them and then play very successful soccer in the future.”

The US has failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup after defeated by Trinidad and Tobago 2-1 during the qualification match North America zone. This result made The Yanks unable to continue the tradition to join the World Cup since 1990.

“If Belgium and Iceland can go to a World Cup then so can the USA. I think he’ll be fine,” Klopp added.
