The 23-year-old player replaced Raphael Varane who was injured during a Nations League match.
The French football federation said Varane had felt soreness on his left muscle that would rule him out for the next three games.
France, who lost 2-1 to Denmark in their Nations League Group A1 clash on Friday, host Croatia and travel to Austria in their next two matches.
World champions, France won the Nations League last year after beating Spain in the final.
