LA Galaxy and Ibrahimovic will Meet to Discuss the Future

DBasia.news –  LA Galaxy’s chief manager Dennis te Kloese said he would hold talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the next few days as reports continued to circulate about the Swedish striker’s future.

Ibrahimovic’s contract runs out after Galaxy was eliminated from the Major League Soccer (MLS) playoff and the 38-year-old striker is still in demand by many clubs.

The former Manchester United, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus player has recently been linked with a move to La Liga and several Serie A clubs such as Napoli, Bologna and Inter Milan.

The Swedish attacker later indicated he would return to Spain, but it was not known what his goal was to return to the country.

However, Te Kloese said Ibrahimovic’s departure had not yet taken place and he would hold talks with the player who is still sharp in scoring the goal.

“I have known him for a long time, my agreement with him was to sit together after everything had subsided when the season ended and evaluate what was good for him, his family, his body condition and also for us,” Te Kloese told ESPN Deportes, reported by Goal on Thursday.

“You all already know Zlatan. He is a person who has a unique character, with so many aspects.”

“And I think he helped us this year, basically and clearly, with the number of goals he made, which was very impressive.”

“And all of that will be discussed, of course, next week when he returns. He is a very mature athlete in that and so we will talk like adults and after that, we will determine what is best for all parties involved.”

The Australian league club (A-League) Perth Glory is also reportedly interested in bringing in the former Swedish national team striker.

“An approach has been taken to his agent (Mino Raiola),” Glory CEO Tony Pignata told Fairfax.

Ibrahimovic has continued his brilliant form since moving to Los Angeles from Premier League giants Man Utd in 2018 – scoring 53 goals in two seasons for the United States club.
