Latest Developments Regarding Lazio’s Pursuit of Malang Sarr

DBasia.news – The latest news related to Lazio’s pursuit of OGC Nice defender, Malang Sarr is that there are two other main competitors, Fenerbahce and Newcastle United who are also trying to transfer the player this summer.

Fenerbahce’s sporting director Emre Belozoglu has targeted Nice center back Malang Sarr as an option for the Turkish club next season, but as reported by Turkish media, Fotospor claims that the player also attracted the attention of several other European clubs namely Newcastle United.

The news further revealed that Emre had worked with Federico Pastorello’s agent who had an influence on his transfer to Newcastle in 2005 and Malang Sarr was one of the players he was eyeing. In addition to the two clubs, Lazio must also compete with Eintracht Frankfurt, who is also interested in bringing the 21-year-old player who has impressed with Nice.

Fenerbahce’s financial situation is likely to make them able to compete with other interested clubs like Newacastle and Lazio, however Emre still hopes to persuade him to move to Istanbul by offering a lucrative contract.

Emre will continue to work closely with Pastorello and the club’s president, Ali Koc, who has also learned of the club’s pursuit of Sarr’s contract. The 21-year-old has played 20 matches for Nice this season before Ligue 1 was terminated, while his contract will expire at the end of June.
