DBasia.news – Lazio are reportedly being investigated regarding the positive cases of Covid-19 which has affected three players and now the authorities are gathering evidence related to the case. The Biancocelesti itself are preparing to carry out a further match in Serie A against Juventus which will take place on Sunday (08/11) pm.
As reported by the Italian news agency, Ansa, the relevant authorities are gathering evidence related to the results of the Covid-19 swab test carried out by Lazio at their training ground in Formello and the laboratory in Avellino.
The investigation was carried out after three Lazio players, Ciro Immobile, Lucas Leiva and Thomas Strakosha, whose Covid test results were repeatedly negative when carried out by the club internally but showed a positive result based on UEFA tests.
This situation occurred ahead of last Friday when the same swab test which was negative in the Lazio laboratory used in Avellino was positive when it was carried out at the Biomedical Campus in Rome.
Furthermore, Biomedical has informed the local health authorities (ASL) that is why the three players were ordered to undergo independent isolation on Saturday afternoon.
The trio left the training ground before the start of the session despite the fact that the club’s medical staff previously allowed them to play against Juventus on Sunday night.
Now according to the ANSA news agency, representatives of the Guardia investigative team in Finanza are visiting Formello and the Futura Diagnostica laboratory in Avellino to gather evidence and documentation.
There is a lot of demand for the Serie A and the FIGC to create a testing system that is centralized or at least has some agreement on the level of viral load which is a positive test for COVID.
