Lazio Defender Asked Serie A To Be Continued

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Lazio defender Paricio Gabarron Gil or Patric has asked Serie A to continue the 2019-2020 season.

Italy has indeed became one of the countries with the largest number of corona viruses spread in the world. But Patric believes the virus will not harm players in Serie A.

“We are not afraid. With the right prevention, we must return to the field,” Patric told El Chiringuito de Jugones.

Serie A has been suspended since March, the corona virus pandemic effect. The Italian government implemented a lockdown after a significant spike in the spread of the virus.

Now that the spread of the corona virus has begun to decline, the continuation of Serie A is still a big question mark. Italian soccer stakeholders have not succeeded in convincing the government to allow the competition to roll back.

The Italian government has relaxed the lockdown rules so that people are starting to resume normal activities slowly. But that does not apply to Serie A even though the players have been allowed to train individually.

“Football is no different from other businesses, we’ve just been home for two months and want to go back to work. If everything returns to normal, why don’t we?” he added.

Lazio has became one of the most passionate clubs asking for Serie A to continue. One reason is of course because AS Roma city rivals were competing for the title.

Lazio is now ranked second. They are only one point behind Juventus who top the standings.
