By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Lazio successfully defeated Juventus 3-1 in the Italian Super Cup which took place in Saudi Arabia, Sunday (12/22). It was the second time in a row that Lazio have won over Juventus.

This victory also repeats Lazio’s victory over Juventus in Serie A some time ago. With the same score, Lazio managed to repeat their glory when facing Cristiano Ronaldo and his colleagues.

Eighth minutes in, Lazio received a golden opportunity. Starting from the cooperation carried out by Immobile and Luis Alberto, but the kick taken by the Spaniard was still thin above the goal, as Juventus was escorted by Szczesny.

Apart from these opportunities, The Old Lady slowly began to dominate the match. Utilizing the speed possessed by Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala, Juventus began to endanger Lazio’s goal guarded by Strakosha.

However, Lazio finally opened the scoring in the 16th minute. Luis Alberto continued to be the actor. Utilizing a mature pass from Savic, Luis ALberto who was not escorted immediately kicked the ball and was unable to be driven by Szczesny.

Jolted by these goals, Juventus immediately put pressure back in the 22nd minute. Receiving feedback from Higuain, Ronaldo who received a golden opportunity in front of Lazio’s goal has not been able to equalize, the kick was still wide on the left side of Lazio’s goal.

Eight minutes later, Juventus achieved a chance back, this time from a free kick in front of the penalty box. Dybala who took the opportunity was unable to use it well. His left foot kick was still thin on the right side of the goal.

One minute remaining of the first half, finally Juventus’ efforts to equalize paid off. Starting from the hard kick from Ronaldo that was unable to be held well by Strakosha, the ball was well used by Dybala and managed to lock the position, the score 1-1 also lasted until the end of the first half.

Both teams did not relax the tempo of the match at the start of the second half. Even three minutes into the second half, Juventus received a golden opportunity from Dybala, but the shot was still not directed and only made a goal kick.

Five minutes later, it was Lazio’s turn to achieve a golden opportunity. But the header made by Correa was still easily captured by Szczesny, the score did not change until ten minutes into the second half.

67 minutes in, Immobile received a chance. Getting a shot in front of Juventus’ goal, but unfortunately the hard kick was still able to be driven by Bonucci.

Strategy changes were also made by the two teams, Juventus included Ramsey and Cuadrado while Lazio included Parolo and Cataldi. The changes made by Juventus went well, there was one opportunity produced by Ronaldo after receiving a pass from Ramsey, but unfortunately his shot was still above Lazio’s goal.

Lazio were finally back ahead in the 73rd minute. Starting with a header from Marco Parolo, Senad Lulic who was standing freely was able to drive a hard shot on Juventus’ goal and was unable to be driven by Szczesny.

Simone Inzaghi’s squad is really played effectively. They only counterattacked to endanger Juventus’ goal. Meanwhile, a barrage of attacks carried out by Juventus actually did not produce results and always collided with a layered defense carried out by Lazio.

In the remaining time available, Juventus continue to put pressure on Lazio defense. One of them is the opportunity obtained by Bonucci in the 89th minute but unfortunately the former AC Milan player’s header was thin in Lazio’s goal.

Instead of equalizing, Juventus continued to concede. The carelessness done by Bentacur has made him receive a red card, a free kick made by Danilo Cataldi hurried profusely against Juventus, 3-1 score for Lazio winning the Italian Super Cup title.
