Lionel Messi could not hide his sadness after Arturo Vidal left. The Chilean national team midfielder will join Inter Milan.
Vidal has no future at Barcelona. Ronald Koeman as the new coach did not include the name of the former Bayern Munich player in his plans for the 2020-2021 season.
Like a tit for tat, Inter Milan is interested in using his services. In Italy, Vidal will reunite with his former coach at Juventus, Antonio Conte.
Vidal may only have played two seasons for Barcelona. However, in that relatively short period of time, he has a good relationship with teammates including Messi.
This was revealed after Messi gave Vidal his farewell. From the message written, the relationship between the two looks very close.
“At first I only knew you because you were facing each other and you always seemed like a phenomenon to me. But then I was lucky enough to know you personally and it surprised me even more,” Messi wrote on Instagram.
“In two years we have shared a lot and made yourself noticed. The dressing room will miss you, Arturo.”
“I wish you all the best in the new phase at your new club. We will of course meet again,” he added.
The close relationship between the two is quite surprising given that they are very different characters. Messi tends to be quiet while Vidal is more emotional.
However, the backgrounds of both of them who both come from South America make this happen. In language, both of them have no difficulty in communicating.
Vidal himself has replied to Messi’s message. He did not hesitate to praise Messi as the best in the world.
“Thank you aliens and it is an honor to be able to play with the best in the history of football. Thank you very much for the friendship that exists. I miss you all. We will meet soon,” replied Vidal.
