Leaving Tottenham Hotspur, Mauricio Pochettino: Thank you Tottenham

DBasia.news –  Argentine manager, Mauricio Pochettino, no longer serves as Tottenham Hotspur manager. He was dismissed from his position. After being dismissed, Pochettino left quite a touching message on the club’s tactics board. He claimed Harry Kane and his colleagues were always in the hearts of the Argentine coach.

Mauricio Pochettino was not exactly a failure at Tottenham Hotspur. In the last four years, The Lilywhites consistently penetrated the top four of the Premier League. In addition, last season, Harry Kane and colleagues advanced to the Champions League final.

However, a series of negative results at the beginning of this season has made Tottenham officials take a firm stand. Mauricio Pochettino was fired. The position of the manager was replaced by Jose Mourinho.

“I want to thank Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy for providing the opportunity to coach and become part of the history of Tottenham Hotspur,” Pochettino said as reported by the League Manager’s Association.

“I want to thank everyone who I have met at Tottenham. All the staff and players in the past five and a half years,” Pochettino stated.

“Finally, I want to give a special thank you to the fans who has made this club great with the fantastic support provided,” he explained.

“I have given my best to achieve the goals requested in the first meeting. There are an equal amount of challenges as success. I wish Tottenham the best in the future. I am sure we will meet again.”

Although unemployed, Mauricio Pochettino has been associated with a number of clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester United. Pochettino has a great chance to return to training at the start of next season.
