Leganes Finally Pick the Victory

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Leganes finally felt their inaugural victory in the Spanish league this season by beating Mallorca 1-0 in their 10th match at the Butarque stadium.

The result seemed to be a turning point for Leganes who had just fired manager Mauricio Pellegrino and in the match against Mallorca their team B coach, Luis Cembranos shared the task with Carlos Martinez guiding the team.

In ideal conditions without a permanent coach, Leganes managed to win its first victory by beating Mallorca who came as a guest team.

Martin Braithwaite was the only goal scorer to determine Leganes’ victory in the 31st minute, according to the official Spanish League page.

Starting from Roberto Rosales’ measurable cross, Braithwaite got the easy task of making a close-range finish to break down his visitors’ goal.

Mallorca tried to get up and dominate the game but they were unable to create truly dangerous opportunities.

In fact, in the 77th minute, the visitors almost conceded again if it had not been saved by the crossbar which rejected the ball kicking Braithwaite’s left leg.

The victory leaves Leganes temporarily leaving the bottom of the standings and going up one strip to 19th.
