DBasia.news – Rivaldo, a Barcelona legend, requested his former club to sell Ousmane Dembele in the transfer market next season.
Since joining Barcelona in 2017 Ousmane Dembele has failed to live up to expectations. The situation has gotten worse as the player is more often struggling with injuries. Just imagine, three seasons at Camp Nou, he always suffered injuries.
This has also made Rivaldo want El Barca to release him next season. According to him, the player brought in from Borussia Dortmund will not be able to prove himself.
“Dembele signed a contract with Barcelona almost three years ago and he should have had enough time to establish himself at the club and prove the value of his transfer,” Rivaldo said as quoted from Bet Fair on Friday (17/04).
“Maybe he will never show his quality at the club. “Of course he still has great potential, but I think this summer will be the right opportunity for Barcleona to sell him or even exchange him for the players they are after,” he continued.
Throughout this season, the French player has only been played in nine matches in all competitions and has only collected one goal. The rest, he was more often at the operating table.
At the start of the season, Ousmane Dembele suffered a hamstring injury which forced him to miss five games. After recovering, and played in two matches, he had to be pulled over again due to a muscle injury. And since last December, he has struggled again with a hammer injury which forced him to be absent for six months.
