Lille Penetrates the Big Three

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Lille silenced Bordeaux 3-0 in the Week 11 match of the French League at the Pierre-Mauroy Stadium.

The team made by Christophe Galtier is now in third place with a collection of 18 points, while Bordeaux (15) slipped to seventh.

Lille has been playing aggressively since the match started, but their first two chances through Jonathan Ikone and Benjamin Andre have not been able to open the scoring.

Lille’s first goal was born in the 22nd minute through Andre’s right foot who hit the ball into the upper right corner of the goal following a pass from Yusuf Yazici.

Lille had little trouble keeping the lead until halftime and in the 59th minute, they were awarded a penalty after Mehmet Celik was brought down by Laurent Koscielny inside the area.

Yazici who became the executioner coldly fooled goalkeeper Benoit Costil and directed the ball straight right into the middle of the goal to double Lille’s advantage.

The excitement of attacking made the Bordeaux line off guard and in the first minute of injury time Loic Remy completed Lille’s victory to 3-0 when he completed Yazici’s pass
