DBasia.news – Manchester United’s player, Jesse Lingard, said he was hoping for an opportunity to play with Cristiano Ronaldo on the same team.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to overhaul United’s squad in the summer and, although a move for Ronaldo to United seems unlikely, Lingard still hopes to enjoy the opportunity to work with the Juventus striker.
“I want Manchester United to present Ronaldo. He has been one of the best players in the world over the past decade,” Lingard said.
“He was here before, so he will rejoin. Growing up and becoming big, he can only watch in United’s uniform, so on a personal note it would be great to play with him.”
Ronaldo left United for Real Madrid in 2009 with a record world transfer fee of 80 million pounds and later became the all-time leading scorer in the Spanish club with 450 goals.
For nine years at the Bernabeu, the 33-year-old won four Champions League trophies and two La Liga titles.
