DBasia.news – Ahead of the friendly matches against Brazil and Uruguay, Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, was recalled by Lionel Scaloni to strengthen the Argentine national team.
Messi, 32 years old, returned to strengthen the Argentine national team after completing sanctions banned from competing with the national team for three months given by CONMEBOL. The sanctions were given following La Pulga’s strong protests to officials and organizing committees at the 2019 Copa America event.
Not only Messi, Scaloni also summoned Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero, exactly as he had promised in early October 2019. Both will lead the Albiceleste vanguard with Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan) and Paulo Dybala (Juventus).
“Messi is not in the national team because of sanctions. Sergio Aguero is not in the national team due to problems and has not 100 percent trained with his club. Certainly both will be here next month,” said Scaloni in early October.
Two debutants were also called by Scaloni into the Argentina squad. They are 27-year-old Arsenal goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, with 19-year-old Famalicao defender, Nehuen Perez.
