Lionel Messi’s career may end at Newell’s Old Boys

DBasia.news –  Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has hinted that he will retire from his football career at Newell’s Old Boys, the club from his hometown, Argentina.

Messi grew up as a footballer with the Argentine club in the 1994-2000 period. After that, he was then drawn by Barca to join La Masia.

“If they (Barcelona) want me, I am happy (to survive),” Messi told RAC1 radio on Wednesday (9/10).

“I repeat once again, I think to stay here. My idea and family is to end career here,” said the 32-year-old player.

“But sometimes you have to think more about your family than what you want. Family is the most important thing,” he added.

Previously, Messi claimed to have wanted to leave Barca and Spain after stumbling over tax evasion cases in the 2012-2014 range.
